Our Story
ESTABLISHED 2026
Helena Heating and Air was born from a shared vision between two Montana friends and colleagues. We set out to create a truly local company where genuine expertise meets family ethics. To us, this is more than just a business—it's our family legacy, and nothing is more important than serving our community with the quality and trust they deserve.
Cole Gresens was born in Miles City, Montana and grew up on a ranch in Volberg, Montana. His family sold the ranch and he moved to Manhattan, Kansas where he went to North Central Kansas Technical College and achieved licensing in both plumbing and HVAC. Working on military bases and large industrial systems gave him vital experience he uses still today.
Cole moved to North Dakota during the oil boom and established his first company, Top Notch Plumbing. Cole led large projects as the region grew including the McKenzie County Courthouse, schools, and many oil field headquarters.
After meeting his now wife, Katelyn, they decided to moved to Helena, Montana in 2018. It was an easy decision to make as they already had family in Helena. After working for a local plumbing and heating company, Cole decided it was time to start his own company again.
Cole lives in East Helena with his wife, their two small boys, Leo and Henry, and two large dogs.
